CAIS APS Manager™
What is APS Manager™?
Adjuvant Informatics Corp.® provides a comprehensive clinical database for complete management of your Acute Pain Service. Developed by anesthesiologists and field tested since 2001, the APS Manager™ currently boasts over 40,000 patient enrollments and over 80,000 patient visits. The APS Manager software has been designed to meet the administration, data collection, quality assurance, and potential research needs that are unique to your Acute Pain Service.
Who uses the software?
The APS Manager is intended for acute pain service staff and management. This typically includes the anesthesiologists, acute pain nurses (if available), ward nurses, and clerks. The administrative reports can be used by the hospital administration to evaluate the APS activity and assess patient safety.
Where is the software Installed?
The system is very flexible and can be installed in a very simple one computer environment (such as the PACU) or a client / server environment where many computers share a central database.
When does the APS Manager™ get used?
The case anesthesiologist creates the order for the patient. If the system is installed in the OR computer the patient can be enrolled on the APS immediately, otherwise the patient must be enrolled off of the paper orders (usually in the PACU). Subsequent patient visits can be entered via a desktop computer or laptop.
